Match Reports
I would like to congratulate the under9s who went to lichfield city football club on saturday 7th june in the afternoon on there performance throughout the whole tournament these children were Shaun, Declan, Harry, Oakley, Jordan, Rammell, Jacob and Joseph.
You all done yourselves, parents, managers and the whole club proud on saturday and should be very proud of yourselves, there children played 3 games without conceeding a goal, firstly we played Holly Lane Utd which we have lost twice to within the session both 6-0 and 3-2 and we went on to win 1-0 with a screamer of a goal from Jordan, the second game we played Shelfield Utd where we also won 1-0 with another fantastic goal scored by Oakley, by the 3rd game we knew we was in the semi finals whatever happened the children then went out and played their hearts out against Boley Park and won the game 3-0 with 2 goals from Oakley and a header from a corner from Shaun, meaning we was in the semi finals without losing a game and conceeding a goal we knew that in the semi finals it was going to be a tough game, with 10 minutes to play one way it was going to be tough. Within the game it didnt matter how many chances we had we just couldnt get the ball in the back of the net, with near enough every part of the goal being hit the ball was not going in! we also missed a sitter, but hey thats football, we then went into extra time with 1 minute to go starland st annes went on to score and won them the game! they also went on to win the tournament well done boys! I would like to say a massive well done to all the boys who came along and it was a very heart racing afternoon! well done boys this is a massive improvment from you all and this will be fair from the last semi final you play in, keep up the hard work boys! im so proud of you all!

Under 9s Manager! On Sunday 16th March 08 the under 9’s went away to Beacon colts to play top of the league, at the moment we are bottom of our league, we had previously lost 3-1 in the league and 4-2 in the cup to this team, but was very pleased with the children’s performance on both occasions. On Sunday we started the game very well then unfortunately went 1-0 down in the first half. With a strike from Shaun we managed to come back just after half time, this was a very tight game with Declan having to make some fantastic saves to keep us in the game. Unfortunately we went 2-1 down with 8 minutes to go then with 5 minutes to go with a corner taken by Ellis and Jacob managing to get on the end of it finding the back of the net made it 2-2. We managed to hold on for the last 5 minutes and gain a well earned point..... Well done boys I know I can speak on behalf of both myself and your parents that we are very proud of the way you played especially under the weather condition and your attitudes which helped with you being able to come from behind twice, keep it up lads well done! Also well done to Jordan who received man of the match.
